Health researchers urged to mine interRAI data about older people
April 2019
interRAI is internationally recognised as a comprehensive assessment tool that provides a complete picture of an individual’s clinical and functional status.
Nationwide, interRAI is providing a huge amount of data about the health and wellbeing of older, frail and vulnerable people in New Zealand.
The TAS interRAI team, with funding from Ministry of Health, supports training for nurses and other health professionals to use these assessments ‒ helping health professionals, older people and their families make informed care decisions.
Michele McCreadie, TAS general manager of interRAI Services, spoke at a Health and Care Services conference about how the interRAI data set is world-class, rich, growing and available to health researchers.
