About Regional Workforce Development
It is essential we continue to have skilled, qualified staff in our health sector workforce. We collaborate with the six Central Region District Health Boards (DHBs) and Health Workforce at the Ministry of Health to develop the workforce and ensure workforce areas are sustainable for the future.
Regional Workforce Development works to:
- identify and address workforce supply issues
- collect, analyse and share workforce information to assist in workforce planning regionally and nationally
- partner with regional professional lead groups to support training and professional support
- facilitate collaboration between professional groups on workforce projects and initiatives.
