Reviews
District Health Boards commissioned two independent community pharmacy Reviews as part of the ICPSA National Annual Agreement Review (NAAR) negotiation in 2020.
NAAR participants have discussed the Reviews and agreed to publish them. The Reviews will inform the work of the new health entity Health NZ.
Services and funding model review
DHBs commissioned a review of the community pharmacy services and funding model to inform decisions about future requirements for community pharmacy services.
DHBs sought to understand how requirements for community pharmacy access and services were evolving and how the needs of New Zealanders could best be met in the future. They aimed to create a framework for services and funding to support effective delivery of people-centred community pharmacy services that better address inequity - fairly and sustainably.
Stage One of the Review is published below, along with the Terms of Reference, DHB Feedback to NAAR, and a statement from the following provider representatives – Pharmacy Guild of New Zealand, Green Cross Health and Totem Group.
Wage cost pressures review
DHBs commissioned an independent review to better understand wage cost pressures in the community pharmacy sector.
The Review took place in 2020, and looked at any wage variability that may exist across the workforce, and what comparisons to other workforces could be made.
The Review is published below, along with the Terms of Reference, DHB Feedback to NAAR, and a statement from the following provider representatives – Pharmacy Guild of New Zealand, Green Cross Health and Totem Group.
