Central Region Equity Framework
The Central Region has developed a Central Region Equity Framework to promote equity of health outcomes for everyone receiving health services in the Region.
The Framework aligns with the Ministry of Health’s “Equity of Health Care for Māori: A framework” and retains the focus on leadership, knowledge and commitment in the Ministry framework because they are fundamental attributes that will advance equity of health outcomes.
The Framework contains four key sections – capability, strategic planning, procurement, and monitoring and evaluation and provides an equity lens, at a high level, for activities in each of these areas.
