Regional Digital Health Services (RDHS) is a TAS business group that delivers, operates, and supports shared clinical applications on behalf of Central Region District Health Boards (DHBs). We work with DHBs to deliver changes and improvements to regional applications and are tasked with ensuring their ongoing availability and maintenance.

The Operations Manager has responsibility for the effective operation, support, and maintenance of regional systems. They provide visibility of performance to RDHS and Central Region DHBs through regular reporting, and they are responsible for driving and monitoring the performance of regional vendors.

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • At least 10 years’ experience in the information technology industry, with at least one previous role in an Operations Manager or similar position.
  • Previous experience working in an operational role within or for health sector organisations.
  • Proven experience building and leading IT Operations teams and capability in large, complex environments.
  • Experience working with and influencing stakeholders in high-pressure environments.
  • Familiarity with modern technologies and practices such as cloud computing, DevOps, agile and CI/CD.
  • Experience in roles that require significant organisational, scheduling, planning and time management skill.
  • Previous experience defining, implementing, or improving governance, management, or operational processes.

The Workforce team is responsible for the provision of workforce planning and development on behalf of the 20 District Health Boards ensuring a strong strategic focus and linking with sector partners to ensure a whole-of-workforce/sector approach to workforce development, underpinned by the People Force 2025 Vision and the Four Workforce Principles.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Recruitment Advisor who will be responsible for the ongoing operation and development of Kiwi Health Jobs (KHJ). The role will be responsible for developing guidelines, procedures and processes that will ensure a streamlined and improved shared service. This includes actively managing a national talent pool and supporting national and international sourcing strategies.

The role is perfect for someone who is a strong communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills and is curious about how technology can support a better experience for our people. You will be client-focused, flexible and have a positive and pro-active approach to your work ensuring that tasks are completed to a high level.

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • a preparedness to take the initiative, a strong desire to achieve results and a professional work ethic
  • demonstrated experience identifying process improvements and implementing change through consultation
  • demonstrated ability in recruitment with experience setting up and/or managing effective systems and processes
  • proven ability to prioritise work and follow through on tasks to their successful completion.
  • sound judgement, discretion and proven ability to work under pressure.
  • knowledge and experience in the health sector is highly desirable.

The Engineering Manager has overall accountability for providing technology engineering services to RDHS operations and portfolio projects. They are the responsible for providing the technical capacity, expertise and availability required to support regional initiatives, activity, and service level agreements.

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • At least 10 years’ experience in the information technology industry, with at least one previous role in an Infrastructure Manager or similar position.
  • Previous experience working in a technology leadership role within or for health sector organisations.
  • Proven experience building and leading technical teams and capability in large, complex environments.
  • Experience working with and influencing executive stakeholders in high-pressure environments. Demonstrable experience with modern technologies and practices such as cloud computing, DevOps, agile and CI/CD.
  • Experience in roles that require significant organisational, scheduling, planning and time management skill.
  • Previous experience defining, implementing, and improving governance, management, or engineering processes.
