Graham Smith – Chief Executive
|Graham started his role as Chief Executive in January 2014. Prior to this appointment, he had operated at a senior management and leadership level for well over 10 years, in both the private and public sectors, most recently with the Ministry of Science & Innovation and Callaghan Innovation. Graham is particularly adept at engaging with people both within an organisation and with external stakeholders, a critical requirement for this position. His leadership is well recognised as is his successful track record in developing and executing business strategy.|
Tricia Sloan – General Manager, Planning and Collaboration (including Business Intelligence)
|Tricia brings to her role extensive health and business expertise. From a nursing background, Tricia has held senior management roles in the National Health Service (UK), and then worked developing countries prior to coming to New Zealand. Driving for better health outcomes for all New Zealanders through a culture of innovation and improvement are the cornerstones to Tricia’s work ethic.|
Holger Jessen – Director, Audit and Assurance
|Holger has worked in the audit profession for almost 30 years. He has experience in a wide range of audit areas and has worked in different roles within private and government banks in Germany before he moved to New Zealand in 2008. Holger manages a team of Health, Finance and IT auditors to provide a broad range of assurance services in the health industry with access to a huge number of specialists contracted in whenever needed.|
Rachel MacKay – Programme Director, Community Pharmacy
|Rachel has more than 20 years experience in the NZ health sector, having begun her career in the multi-national pharmaceutical industry. She was at PHARMAC from the late 90s, where she established and ran two business units and also stepped in as Acting CEO from time to time. One of Rachel’s strengths is her ability to implement complex programmes of work and manage challenging situations.|
Jon Shapleski – Programme Director, Health of Older People
Michele McCreadie - General Manager, interRAI Services
Michele has extensive senior management experience, primarily across the health sector. Her roles have included leading the National Breast and Cervical Screening Programmes for the Ministry of Health and in the UK, she held a number of senior management positions in the National Health Service including as Director Operations, Chesterfield Primary Care Trust. More recently as GM Legal Aid Services for the Ministry of Justice, Michele led a programme of work to successfully reform the legal aid system.
